Under what circumstances is a Shorai battery eligible for a warranty claim?

All Shorai batteries and accessories come with a 3-year warranty against manufacturing-related defects, when used for light vehicle powersports starter battery purposes, excluding automotive applications. Please note that loss of maximum charge capacity from normal wear-and-tear use, user-related abuse and damage are not covered under the warranty terms.

How does the warranty claim for Shorai products work?

Warranty for all Shorai products are pro-rated over a 3-year period.

For the first year, if a warranty-eligible fault occurs, you will be eligible for the same new product at no cost (or a full refund less shipping charge for Malaysian customers)

Between a year and 2 years, if a warranty-eligible fault occurs, you will eligible to repurchase the same product at a 50% discount.

Between 2 years and 3 years, if a warranty-eligible fault occurs, you will be eligible to repurchase the same product at a 25% discount.

In all warranty claims cases, you will need to produce the defective item and purchase invoice for claims assessment.

How does the warranty claim procedure differ for Malaysian customers?

For Malaysian customers, claims eligibility will be exactly the same but please note that you will need to ship the product back to us as your expense. Once your warranty claim is validated, you will be contacted with a discount code to use on your next order to provide you the appropriate discount. We will ship the new item back to you free of charge.

Please note that the warranty discount code is only applicable for warranty-claim orders, upon obtaining approval from Shorai Singapore. Non-warranty related orders placed using these discount codes will be cancelled.

What do I need to provide in the event of a warranty claim?

For all warranty claims, the original product and purchase invoice MUST be returned to us for claims evaluation. Without these, the warranty claim will not be processed.
